Every Meal Counts

In 2013 I worked on a self-initiated project at Raw called ‘Let’s Talk Turkey’ — a digital story of your Christmas turkey from farm to fork. The project highlighted the plight of factory farmed turkeys and asked visitors to the site to pledge either to buy an organic or free range turkey or go meat-free that Christmas.

Following on from the success of this project we were approached by the Vegetarian Society to create a series of animated videos to encourage people to reduce their meat intake. We created three shorts focused on the different motivations for reducing meat intake; helping the environment, improving animal welfare and keeping healthy. Each video follows a colourful character on their journey to a new lifestyle with links to the campaign website. 

On the site visitors can take a short test to see how their current diets and lifestyle choices measure up and affect the environment, animal welfare and their health.
